Springfield City Council extends mask mandate.

Springfield City Council will extend their face mask ordinance.

Following recommendations from the Springfield-Greene County Health Department and support of health care partners, City Council decided on Monday, December 14 to extend the face coverings, occupancy restrictions, and social distancing requirements until April 9.

Springfield-Greene County has more than 17,000 cases of Covid-19 and 247 deaths.

The practices of wearing a face-covering in public places, maintaining a 6-foot distance, and frequent hand washing are encouraged.
