MSSU music program receives associate NASM accreditation

The Music Department at Missouri Southern State University is now an associate member of the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM).

Interim Department head Dr. David Sharlow says it’s a major accomplishment.

The National Association has existed since the 1920s and sets national standards for undergraduate and graduate programs.

Pittsburg State University and Cottey College in Nevada are also accredited by the NASM.
