Missouri teachers don’t need new burdens
Missouri public school teachers do not need additional burdens placed on them during the pandemic. Tuesday, the Missouri State Board of Education made a decision to give state assessments next spring to students, but the test results will not be used for state and federal accountability measures. The Missouri Assessment Program test is given to students in the spring normally and is part of school districts accountability and accreditation certification process. Last school year, the assessments were waived and now they are waived again for this school year.
