The City of Joplin will remain with Republic for trash service

Among the discussions last night during the Joplin City Council meeting, the decision to remain with Republic as the cities trash service or change to Waste Corporation of Missouri LLC was pondered.

Ultimately, in a vote of six in favor and two opposed, the city decided to remain with Republic.

A new bid was created that would allow a one-year-extension with Republic as the city’s trash service, passed nine in favor and zero opposed.
