A Missouri man suspected in his wife’s disappearance was denied bond on Monday.
The suspected death of a Chinese woman by the hands of her husband led to the denial of bond for Missourian Joseph Elledge.
Elledge’s attorneys had asked a Boone County judge on Monday for a $750,000 dollar bond, but was denied by Boone County Prosecutor Dan Knight.
The charge Elledge faces is first-degree murder in the disappearance of Mengqi Ji, who has been missing since October 2019.
Elledge also faces a charge of child abuse. He has been held without bond since his arrest.
