Snap Benefits will increase for Missourians.
Missourians who use the Missouri Supplemental Nutrition Assitance Program, or PSNAP, will see a small increase in funds through the end of the year.
Missouri had submitted a waiver request to provide maximum PSNAP benefits until the end of the year, which was recently approved by the USDA.
Snap benefit amounts will be maximized based on the size of each household.
The waiver will increase the statewide average benefit amount to a little more than $50 per month for each person in the household.
Around 752,000 Missourians used the Snap benefits program during the month of October.
