Two Chevy 2500s involved in Carl Junction crash

You could call it the “Battle of the Chevy 2500s.”

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says an eastbound 2007 Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck, driven by 25-year-old Nikoma J. Farnum of Webb City, failed to stop at a stop sign at Fir Road in Carl Junction Friday afternoon.

The vehicle then smacked into a westbound 2005 Chevrolet 2500 driven by 63-year old Dennis J. Dowling of Joplin.

Dowling had been trying to make a left turn at the time of the crash.

Dowling, who was wearing a safety device, was transported to Mercy Hospital in Joplin but suffered only minor injuries.
