Investigation underway following MSSU fracas

Some people take their basketball seriously – perhaps too seriously.

No charges have been filed yet but authorities at Missouri Southern State University say a referee was accosted just after the MSSU Basketball Lions suffered a one-point loss to Northeastern State University Thursday night at Leggett & Platt Athletic Center.

MSSU Police Chief Ken Kennedy says an investigation is underway.

The incident may have been caught on video.

Assault charges could be filed against one person pending the outcome of the investigation.
