Cold Case solved

New cold case unit in Missouri has its first arrest.  59 year old Kenneth Avery Jr. of Villa Ridge Missouri was charged Tuesday in the July 1986 death of Kristen Edwards whose body was found in rural Franklin County.    Court documents say an eyewitness told investigators that Avery killed Edwards in a cabin near Leslie.   Bond has been set at half a million dollars cash only.   Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt said that Avery’s arrest was the first case involving a new cold case unit that he formed.
