A man driving a tractor died after crashing into a train Wednesday afternoon

A man driving a tractor died Wednesday afternoon after he was hit by a train near Bucker in northwestern Missouri according to authorities.

Reports say the crash happened right after 3 PM in Jackson County. 

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said that the man was attempting to cross Union Pacific tracks when his tractor was hit by an eastbound freight train. 

No one on the train was injured. 

The crash is still under investigation.
