Hospital beds are becoming more limited due to Covid-19 hospitalizations
As the holidays approach, health care entities continue to worry about Covid-19.
In Missouri, hospital beds are almost four-fifths full, with capacity becoming more limited in intensive care units.
The continued increase in hospitalizations has doubled from nearly a month ago, which is currently at 2,805. This comes from the state’s Covid-19 dashboard.
“Not a milestone any of us wanted to reach. We need to reverse direction. We can’t pretend this isn’t real. We can’t wish it away. We can’t hope somebody does something,” Erik Frederick, chief administrative officer for Mercy Springfield, stated on Twitter.
Health Care leaders continue to urge Missourians to wear masks and practice proper safety precautions ahead of Thanksgiving.
