A vehicle rolled over in an accident that took place Monday evening in Newton county
Just after 8:00 p.m. Monday evening, Newton County Dispatch started receiving alerts regarding a rollover crash that occurred on MO-43 and Elm Road.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that 62-year-old Joplin resident Michael Fairhurst was driving a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier. He then ran a stop sign, continued off the roadway, and struck a fence.
Fairhurst was arrested afterwards for DWI and then released and transported to Freeman West in Joplin for treatment of his injuries.
Doug’s Towing of Seneca removed the vehicle from the road.
