Study concludes charity giving is changing due to COVID-19

Charity giving: It’s changing as a result of COVID-19.

That’s the conclusion of a new report sponsored by the Better Business Bureau.

In the past it was common for givers to write a check to large national organizations but the BBB’s Stephanie Garland says especially younger people are choosing to make donations to shelters, food banks and other efforts closer to home.

Garland says the report concludes that COVID-19 has changed the way many people think about doing good for others.
