Child abuse or neglect. 49 year old Patricia Lacoss-Arnold from the Saint Louis area is facing charges of forcing her daughter to undergo unnecessary medical treatments and drug prescriptions for more than a decade. She is alleged to fabricating her daughter’s medical conditions and took her for treatment at several hospital systems. According to charging documents, the girl had been treated more than 60 times in the past two years, including 14 trips to emergency rooms. Lacoss-Arnold’s attorney says she plans to plead not guilty.
