Suspects arrested involving homicide case of Stanley Scott Simon II.

Last week, charges were filed by the Green County Prosecutors office against three suspects in the homicide of Stanley Scott Simon II and theft of his property. These individuals were 25-year-old Republic resident Riley Collier, 17-year-old Springfield resident Patricia Davis, and 40-year-old Springfield resident Michael Stauffer.

Each of the suspects has numerous charges filed against them ranging from murder to unlawful possession of a firearm.

After the theft of a 2004 Chevrolet 3500 that was reported on October 20th, Green County Deputies previously made their way through Jasper and Newton County in search of the vehicle.

Authorities originally had responded to the 13,000 block of W Farm Road 148 for a wellness check. They discovered the homicide scene and the truck missing afterward.

This vehicle was stolen from a homicide scene belonging to 39-year-old Stanely Scott Simon II the same day of his death.

The truck was recovered after a chase ensued with Springfield Police Officers on October 24th.
