Absentee ballots are a huge part of Election 2020

Jasper County Clerk Charlie Davis says 11,554 people in the county voted with absentee ballots.

That number represents 14 percent of registered voters in the county.

It compares with 4,187 voters in the past.

Voters chose absentee ballots for many reasons, not the least of which was the COVID-19 pandemic.
