Man who exchanged gunfire with Kansas trooper died by suicide

(AP) An autopsy has determined that a man from Hot Springs, Arkansas, who exchanged gunfire with a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation said Thursday that the results of the autopsy on 32-year-old Wesley Jordan are consistent with the agency’s investigative findings. Jordan died Friday in Independence after a pursuit. The incident began when a robbery at gunpoint was reported at the Regal Inn in Coffeyville.
