To avoid influenza, get an annual vaccine

IF you get the flu this year, you won’t be alone.

Missouri Dept. of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) Director, Dr. Randall Williams ,says more than 100,000 Missourians have the flu each year.

The DHSS is urging you to get a flu vaccine by the end of the month.

The agency says fewer than half of Missouri adults typically get flu vaccines.

Dr. Williams says flu vaccines are important in the COVID-19 fight by keeping the strain off the state’s health care system.

The DHSS says the single best way to prevent the flu is to get an annual flu vaccine.
