Lane Stephens gets a November 30th arraignment
A 29-year-old Carthage man who has racked up several charges over the years was bound over. Lane Stephens, who also faces charges of assault, four counts of armed criminal action, and two counts of robbery, has an arraignment scheduled for 9 a.m. November 30th.
Published reports detailed Stephen’s various crimes that he had committed. These included beating a woman so badly her left eye was almost swollen shut and her left ear was split in half. Two years later, Stephens attempted to finish the job. He was arrested in Lamar for shooting and wounding a woman, currently his 25-year-old wife Toni Stephens, and killing 43-year-old Carthage resident Don Pierce.
