Inmate will face justice after being scheduled for lethal injection
An inmate that was convicted of murder at least 13 years ago will finally face justice. Attorney General William Bar today directed the Federal Bureau of Prisons to schedule the execution of Lisa Montgomery.
Back in 2004, Kansas resident Lisa Montgomery fatally strangled a pregnant Missouri woman named Bobbie Jo Stinnet. She then cut her body open, and kidnapped her baby. In October of 2007, Montgomery was found guilty by the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri of federal kidnapping resulting in death. She is scheduled for execution by lethal injection December 8th.
