The Boots and Badges Blood Drive is a community initiative designed to help alleviate a critical blood shortage, while at the same time honoring area first responders for the great work they do in the Jasper County community. Area leaders are in strong support of this event and have joined with CBCO to voice a unified message intended to save lives.
“Giving blood is a great way to support your community and we’re pleased to offer our support for local patients,” Jasper County Sheriff Randee Kaiser said. “I strongly urge eligible blood donors, or even first-timers, to provide their incredible and lifesaving gift at this drive.”
All donors will receive a special Boots and Badges T-shirt, while supplies last. “This is a friendly competition and a great example of the cooperation that exists within the area’s first responders,” CBCO Donor Recruitment Representative Belinda Belk said. “We’re looking forward to a great event.”
Donors are strongly encouraged to make an appointment to give to maintain social distancing guidelines and improve donor flow. Masks are required at this drive. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided for you. Donors can schedule an appointment at www.cbco.org/donate-blood.
