Body found at Joplin fire scene, investigation underway

The body of a white male was found at the scene of a fire earlier this morning at 10th and Duquesne.

Firefighters responded to a fire call at about 9:30 a.m. The blaze was controlled quickly but, subsequently, the body was discovered.

The Jasper County Coroner was still on the scene as of 11:30 a.m.
