Balloons in the sky this Columbus Day weekend

If you look up over the weekend, you may see an unfamiliar sight in Joplin. There’s a chance you’ll see three hot air balloons, which will be participating in Columbus Days in Columbus, Oklahoma. This event is scheduled from October 9th-11th, with the balloons coming in from the South East of Joplin and moving through the Northwest.. We may not see the balloons at all though due to the latest tropical storm. Hurricane Delta could potentially be close enough to our region that safety limits might prevent the balloons from moving into the Joplin area. Take that into advisement when making your plans.
