Neosho woman killed after collision with semi

A woman from Neosho was killed after a head-on collision with a semi Tuesday morning. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 51-year-old Lisa Sharp was traveling on Highway 60, three miles east of Granby, when she hydroplaned on wet pavement, crossed the centerline, and hit the truck. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Newton County Sheriff Chris Jennings says Sharp worked at the Sheriff’s Office and was on her way to work when the accident happened. Jennings says “Lisa was a friend to us all. We are a family here and her sudden passing has impacted us all greatly. Our prayers go out to her family and the rest of her friends.”
