Death Investigation in Iola, Kansas

A man from Kansas was pronounced dead Monday afternoon at 3pm after having been in a fight. A joint effort between the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, the Iola Police Department and the Allen County Sherriff’s Office led to an investigation into a death that occurred in Iola, Kansas. The Iola Police Department responded to a call at 2:10 Monday afternoon pertaining to a fight at 621 S Washington Ave. They found 34 year-old Jamie D Martin, of Iola, lying in the driveway unresponsive. After arriving to the scene, EMS transported the victim to Allen County Regional Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased just before 3p.m. Monday.
