Old West re-enactor accidentally shot, seriously injured

WICHITA, KS – A re-enactment of rough and tumble days of the Old West that became a little too real over the weekend.

Performers were supposed to be using blanks in their pistols near the Old Cowtown Museum in Wichita.

Even so, a 24-year-old victim was shot in the upper body and had to be taken to a hospital with serious injuries after a gun accidentally discharged.

The man’s injuries are said to be non-life-threatening.
