Ozark School district increases substitute pay
The need for substitute teachers is leading one southwest Missouri school district to increase pay.
Officials in Ozark, Missouri say they’ll start subs at $100 a day, increasing that by $5 with for every 25 days worked to a maximum of $115 a day after 75 working days.
If you’ve retired from teaching in Ozark, you get $115 no matter what.
School officials are calling it “extra incentive” to fill in during the coronavirus pandemic.
