Jasper County COVID-19 deaths increase to 25

The Jasper County Health Department on Friday reported the 25th death of a county resident due to COVID-19.

The person was a woman in her 70s who had been hospitalized until her death.

The Health Department reminds citizens that older adults and people of any age with underlying health issues are at a higher risk for serious complications from the illness.
