Most of Liberty Utilities rate increase request is rejected
Liberty Utilities asked for 26.5 Million, but they only received about a million.
The Missouri Public Service Commission made the ruling late last night after listening to the public at a hearing in February. A residential customer will see an increase of 48 cents per month, or 0.37% instead of the 5.9% requested by Liberty.
The new rates take effect Sept. 16.
