Landmark Hospital provides “bridge to home” for COVID-19 survivors
Joplin’s Landmark Hospital now has stepped up to the plate to provide care for COVID-19 patients in the Joplin area.
The 28-bed hospital, located at 2040 W. 32nd Street in Joplin, began accepting patients with the virus last month.
Joplin Mayor Ryan Stanley calls the facility “a bridge to home.”
“Landmark is not to set to give that first line care,” says Joplin Mayor Ryan Stanley. “It’s ongoing care for people who just aren’t healthy enough to go home yet.”
Landmark is accepting patients from both Freeman and Mercy Hospitals who have severe lung damage and other ongoing medical challenges resulting from COVID-19.
