2 Men from Missouri arrested on weapons violations in Wisconsin

Federal firearms charges have been filed against two Missouri men arrested Tuesday in Wisconsin.

An Iowa law enforcement agency had received an anonymous tip about 40-year-old Michael Karmo and 33-year-old Cody Smith. Authorities were told the two were traveling to Kenosha, Wisconsin.

When federal agents searched their hotel room in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin they found an A-R-15 long rifle, a 12-gauge shotgun, two handguns, a silencer, ammunition, body armor, a drone, and other materials.

Neither man could legally possess firearms, according to the U-S Attorney’s Office.
