Missouri is making some progress on building up its supply of personal protective equipment.
State Department of Public Safety Director Sandy Karsten says Missouri gets daily shipments of personal protective gear to help in the fight against COVID-19. She says the regular shipments allow the state to deliver the supply to first responders and healthcare workers and to build up a sustained stockpile.
“It looks like we are going to be positioning ourselves for the next year to year and a half,” she says.
Karsten says she feels better with the state’s level of supply today versus at the start of the outbreak, but she says Missouri has a long way to go.
