Covid-19 outbreak closes a school in Webb City

It started with a voice mail,”this message is from Dr. Rossetti, superintendent of the Webb City school district…”

The message goes on to say that the Madge T. James Kindergarten has had an increase in covid 19 cases. According to school officials the school will be closed for the rest of the week. The message also made clear that to their knowledge the confirmed cases are to teachers and staff and not students.

The district did not specify the number of cases and have been working with Jasper County health officials as they try to contain the outbreak.
