A body found in Crawford County

Human remains found in Crawford County. The Sheriff’s office received a call yesterday from a person who found what they thought might have been a body while taking a walk.

Deputies responded to the area north of K-126 on 80^th Street, in the western portion of Crawford County and did indeed find the skeletal remains of a human.

Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) as well members of their Crime Scene Response Team (CSRT) are working on the investigation.

The cause of death and identification are unknown at this time. The remains were collected and transported to Kansas City for examination
