Suspect arrested after pursuit involving stolen van

On Thursday morning, Deputies with the Sheriff’s Office were advised of a van that was just recently reported stolen from a business in El Dorado Springs.

Deputies  in the area were able to locate the van on 54 Hwy near 2100 Rd. Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the van in which the suspect, who has been identified as 21-year-old Brandon Dunn, failed to stop resulting in a pursuit with the vehicle.

According to Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher, Deputies were able to successfully deploy a tire deflation device. The suspect continued to flee until the vehicle lost a tire and was then taken into custody without incident.

On Thursday afternoon, the Courts issued a warrant for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle and Resisting Arrest. Dunn is being held in the Vernon County Jail on a $100,000 cash only bond.
