One man is dead following an accident in Barton

A fatality accident in Barton County takes the life of a man from Liberal.

Just after 3 yesterday afternoon 77-year-old Charles Shaver was on his Harley Davidson motorcycle going south on route Y when a truck driven by 27-year-old Brent Luthi of Jasper pulled in front of the bike from SW 80^th .

Shaver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Luthi was not injured in the accident.
