Missouri Democrat says she’s best suited to expand Medicaid

(AP) Democrat Nicole Galloway says she’s the best gubernatorial candidate to enact Medicaid expansion in Missouri. Voters on Tuesday made Missouri the 38th state to expand eligibility for the government health care program. Galloway supports Medicaid expansion and says that she’ll do a better job enacting the change if she’s elected governor. Republican Gov. Mike Parson opposes Medicaid expansion because he says it will cost too much money. But he’s also said he’ll support voters’ choice and implement it despite his opposition. As many as 250,000 low-income adults could get health care coverage under the expansion.
