Mayor says following rules helps city stay in balance

The City of Joplin held its briefing on COVID-19 and other city-related functions this [Monday] morning.

Joplin Mayor Ryan Stanley says that following the rules to stay safe helps the city stay in balance:

“This is no time to let down,” the Mayor said. “The health of our community is depending on this. The health of our businesses is depending on this. Us wearing these masks, us doing all those responsible things are keeping our businesses full of patrons. It’s allowing us to continue living our lives in somewhat of a normal way.”

Mayor Stanley says the lower overall COVID numbers are the better he’ll feel, especially when area children go back to school next month.
