Deaths from COVID-19 continue to increase in Joplin metro
The deaths from COVID-19 continue to increase in the Joplin metropolitan area.
The Jasper County Health Department announced Saturday two more residents died of the virus.
One was a woman was in her 50s, the other a woman in her 60s. Both had been hospitalized before their deaths.
That brings the number of deaths in the county – outside the Joplin City limits – to six.
Inside Joplin, there have been 15 more deaths.
Four have died in Newton County.
That brings the total number of deaths to 25 in Jasper and Newton Counties.
