It was another record-breaking day in Missouri. For the second straight day had the state reported a single day record number of covid cases. 1300 new cases reported on Wednesday just 24 hours after nearly 1200 cases were reported Tuesday.
According to Dr. Randall Williams, director of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior services, the spike represents community transmission, primarily among 20- and 30-year-olds
Over 36000 people have tested positive for COVID-19 since the pandemic started according to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Service. Missouri has also confirmed 1,159 total deaths due to the coronavirus.
