Arkansas man forced off interstate, robbed

An Arkansas man reported being the victim of a robbery – apparently at gunpoint – early Friday morning on I-44 just inside Joplin.

Capt. William Davis of the JPD told NewsTalk KZRG that 33-year old Donald R. Ford of Walnut Ridge said he was robbed of cash and his cellphone after being forced off the road by men in a black Chevy pickup truck.

Ford drove to the Flying J Travel Plaza to call the police.

No arrests have been made at this time.
