Two years and still no answers in the disappearance of Sarah Burton

Today marks the 2-year anniversary of the disappearance of Sarah Burton.

Sarah was a 29-year-old troubled mother of two young boys when she went mysteriously missing.  She was last seen in the vicinity of 10th Street and Rex Avenue in Joplin and there have been no reported sightings and/or contact from Sarah since she vanished on July 16, 2018.

Captain Nick Jimenez of the Joplin Police Department hasn’t given up hope.

“We are asking anybody in the community with any information to please come forward. Somebody in the Joplin area has information that will bring closer to this case.”

The Joplin Police Department has worked over 150 leads, but the on-going investigation into Sarah’s disappearance continues.

Captain Jimenez adds, “Sarah was a mother and a daughter and she has a family that cares about her very much.”
