Body found near Eagle Picher, Joplin Police investigating

Joplin Police are investigating after the body of a man was found near Eagle Picher Wednesday afternoon.

Captain William Davis says that shortly after 1 p.m., an employee called police after they found the deceased individual in some tall grass along the fence line near the property.

Davis says they are working to identify the adult man and determine his cause of death. He says the investigation is in its early stages and it’s too early to tell if foul play is suspected.
