Two from Pittsburg arrested for cocaine, weapons charges

Two men from Pittsburg were arrested on drug and weapons charges Tuesday. Read the full press release below:

On Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at approximately 6:20 a.m., officers and detectives with the Pittsburg Police Department executed a search warrant at 1119B S. Broadway Street, in Pittsburg. This warrant was initially drafted in relation to weapons violations suspected to have occurred at the residence.

The Police Departments Special Response Team made initial entry into the residence a located what appeared to be marijuana and cocaine in plain view. Both occupants of the residence, 22year-old Quionte Monroe Tidwell and 21-year old Joseph Nathaniel Tallie, were home at the time the warrant was executed.

Investigators secured a second search warrant specific to the narcotics, after which time a complete search of the residence was conducted. Cocaine, marijuana, and a shotgun (having a barrel less than eighteen inches in length) were located inside the residence

Quionte Tidwell was arrested and charged with distribution of cocaine, distribution of marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal possession of a firearm by a felon, criminal use of weapons, and unlawful discharge of a firearm. He was transported to the Crawford County Jail where he is being held in lieu of a $25,000.00 bond

Joseph Tallie was arrested and charged with distribution of cocaine, distribution of marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia possession of a firearm by a felon, and criminal use of weapons. He was transported to the Crawford County Jail where he is being held without bond.
