Joplin Police identify motorcyclist killed in accident

A 25-year-old man from Joplin has been identified as the victim of a fatal accident early Saturday morning. Read the full press release below:

On June 27th, 2020 at approximately 12:36 am, the Joplin Police Department was notified of a
crash near the intersection of Highway FF and Reinmiller Road involving a van and a motorcycle.

The preliminary investigation showed the van, driven by 58-year-old Ricky Fisher
of Joplin, was traveling west on Highway FF and attempted to turn south onto Reinmiller Road. A motorcycle, driven by 25-year-old Trea Greer of Joplin, was traveling east on Highway FF and struck Fisher’s van as it turned south. Greer died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash. Next of kin has been notified.

The Joplin Police Department major crash team is currently investigating this incident and further details will be released if they become available.
