Tyson’s Noel plant sees over 370 employees test positive for COVID-19

After testing over 1,100 employees, Tyson says nearly one-third of them tested positive for COVID-19 at its poultry processing plant in Noel. 371 employees were found with the virus. This testing was done from June 17 to June 19. 291 of those who tested positive did not show any symptoms.

This as McDonald County has become a hotspot for the virus. The CDC has made its way to the Joplin area to better understand how the virus is being transmitted. Missouri has nearly 20,000 TOTAL cases of the virus with nearly 1,000 deaths since the pandemic began.
