17-year-old in custody in connection with Carthage stabbing

Police are investigating stabbing in Carthage over the weekend.

Police found the victim on the front porch of a residence Saturday afternoon and were advised the suspect had fled the scene.

Carthage officers and other area law enforcement officers took 17-year-old Osvin Hernandez into custody after a car stop.

He’s currently being held in the Jasper County jail on charges of 1st degree felony assault and felony armed criminal action.
