COVID-19 cases continue to increase
The COVID-19 threat remains in Missouri even as the state as a whole is set to return to business as usual Tuesday. More cases have also been reported in southeast Kansas.
In Jasper County, the number of cases in the last 7 days has increased by 126 percent. Seven days ago there were 38 cases. A week later, there were 86 cases.
McDonald County saw an 86 percent increase over the last week.
Newton County an increase of 63 percent in that time period.
Meanwhile in southeast Kansas, the Crawford County Health Department confirmed 13 new positive COVID-19 cases on Saturday, June 13.
The total number of cases is 37. The people involved are cooperating with the health department.
