Missouri State Penitentiary ghost and history tours are set to begin again
Work is underway to carefully launch new health protocols within the 184-year-old Missouri State Penitentiary. The Jefferson City Convention and Visitors Bureau says the attraction should be ready for tours on June 1st.
The popular tourist attraction is known for paranormal activity and some of the individuals who served time there. Some infamous guests of the Missouri State Pen include James Earl Ray & General John McDonald. General McDonald served as President Ulysses S. Grant’s trusted ally. Ray, was the man that assassinated Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Due to limited tour capacity, guests are strongly encouraged to wear a mask and buy their tour tickets in advance at MissouriPenTours.com.
