Barry County Accident results in serious injuries

A single vehicle accident in Barry County results in serious injuries.

The Accident happened last (Sunday) night just after 8pm, on Route TT, five miles west of crane. 18-year-old Eliza Hohgrefe of Aurora lost control and ran off the road before flipping her 1998 Chevy Malibu.

Unfortunately, Eliza and her passenger, 18-year-old Christopher Thornburg of Joplin were not wearing their seat belts. Eliza suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a Springfield hospital. Christopher had to be Air-lifted to a Springfield hospital with serious injuries. Another passenger, a 16-year-old, was also taken to a hospital by family.
